A network built from all characters who were "killed" in the game and their killers grouped by dynasty. Characters will often murder other characters to increase their chances or the chances of a close relative or someone they support of inheriting a title. Characters can challenge each other to duels, fight on the battlefield or they can imprison other characters in the dungeon and let them die there or execute them. In game there is a chance that when a murder is carried out the name of the killer will remain hidden. Even if this happens the save game file stores the details of the killer and these are used to build this graph.
The network is colored by the culture of the node which is taken from the save file. This is set when the dynasty is founded and does not change during the game. Nodes represent dynasties and vertices represent a killing carried out by one dynasty on the other. Nodes are sized by PageRank; larger nodes are more popular (carry out more killings or are the targets of more killings) and are connected to more popular nodes. This is the largest network in the game, there are a number of other smaller networks (<10 nodes) that are not connected to this one.
India is at the top right of the network and Europe is at the bottom left. Greece forms the cluster to the right of Europe, mainly Byzantium which converted to Islam early in the game. In between them is Italy which, unlike Western Europe, remained stable throughout the game. Above Europe is the Baltic and Eastern European regions, above Greece is Spain and to the top and right of Spain is the Middle East and North Africian regions respectively.
Hover over a node to get its name, culture and religion or click on a node to see its ego network. Due to the size of this network it can take a while longer to load or zoom in on.
